Thank you for your interest in our Yorkshire Terriers.

We are not a kennel. We own, breed, and show our yorkies in our home and in our hearts! Our dogs are part of our family, and although they are shown, they are not kennel-kept. We have four dogs that we are actively promoting in the show ring, and we hope that this website will give you some insight on the show world, as well as some important information regarding the care of your yorkshire terrier.

I became involved in yorkies for a few different reasons. First, we had a beautiful little girl yorkie named Eliza Too-Little who was stolen. When deciding to replace her we started to consider what kind of yorkie we wanted...a pet, or a pet I could show. So, my husband got me another yorkie :)

People sometimes ask why I show our dogs. The American Kennel Club set a standard for each breed. When you enter a dog show, you are comparing your dog against the "breed standard" or ideal of a perfect dog. So technically, you are competing against the breed standard. When your dog wins, the A.K.C. is saying that this particular dog best describes the standard. By comparing our dogs to this standard, we are ensuring that we are passing along the best quality dog both in our pedigrees and to you as a pet owner. Although you may not be interested in showing your dog, you still want a dog that is of this quality!
